Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to join a local government client. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting procurement operations, ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of materials and services necessary for our production processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the procurement process by sourcing suppliers and evaluating bids for materials and services.
- Help with putting together paperwork for bids and researching commodities, scanning procurement documents to e-files, and other admin duties as needed.
- Client requires additional versatile candidates with strong experience in procurement,research, pricing sheet creation, spreadsheet management, and excellent computer skills for the Human Resources Assistants,Except Payroll and Timekeeping
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in procurement or supply chain roles is an advantage.
- MS Office
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of quality management principles related to procurement processes is a plus.

- Length: 1 year
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $20.24 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
